    General Questions
  • I want to help out / I have a question not covered by the FAQ
  • I. Link Project Questions
  • What is the purpose of the link project?
  • To help webmasters boost their Google pagerank and get indexed with major search engines faster.
  • How do I add my website?
  • Create a link on your website to http://www.millionlinkhomepage.com. Add the page URL where you created the link with a search term (how you would like search engines to identify your website). Then submit.
  • Can I exchange links with a tiny, barely visible link?
  • In order to grow faster we would prefer it if users link to us using the code < a href="http://www.millionlinkhomepage.com">million link homepage</a>. However if you link to us with a tiny, barely visible text link such as < a href="http://www.millionlinkhomepage.com">.</a>, we will still accept your entry. If the link is not visible we will not accept the entry.
  • How many times can one domain exchange links?
  • Three links per domain maximum. This is subject to change.
  • I found a bug in your system.
  • Tell us about it. staff@millionlinkhomepage.com
  • How are the links sorted?
  • The websites which have redirected the most users to our website in the last week are first.
  • II. iScore Project Questions
  • What is the purpose of the iScore project?
  • To develop a product capable of properly estimating the traffic, link structure, and value of every website on the internet within the smallest possible margin of error.
  • What are potential annual revenue, domain value, iScore, tScore and lScore? How are these determined?
  • Potential Annual Revenue - estimate of the amount of money this website could produce (in dollars) if prominent, but non-intrusive advertisements were placed on it.
Domain Value - estimate of how much the website's domain would sell for on the open market
iScore - represents the influence of a website on the internet
tScore - represents the amount of traffic visiting the website
lScore - represents the quality and quantity of inbound links to the website
  • How accurate is the data?
  • The early betas of the iScore, tScore and lScore are very accurate . Unlike the Alexa Rank, the tScore is not subject to the systematic bias involved in collecting information from users using a installing a program available on a single browser and operating system. Unlike Google Pagerank, an lRank cannot be manipulated by using a meta page redirect. Our team is currently developing metrics to rate the accuracy of our program. (We could use your help on this).

The accuracy of "estimated annual revenue" and "domain value" is fairly accurate. This data is not as accurate as the iNumericals for several reasons.

The formula does not consider the demographic which visits the website or their propensity to click on advertiesments (blogs and forums typically get less clicks, for example). The formula gets confused by websites. which are frequented by multiple domains. (facebook.com and thefacebook.com, for example).

Not all webmasters place their advertisements in optimal places.

The formula does not consider the relationship of advertisements to page content (advertisements related to the content of the website will produce more revenue, random advertisemetns generate less income

We are in the process of addressing these issues.
  • Can I distribute your list?
  • No. It's copyrighted and we put a lot of work into it. Tell your buds to download it from our site.
  • Can I datamine or run a program on the iScore query function.
  • If you do it without asking, your IP address will be banned permenantly. Tell us the nature of the program you want to run and we may allow you.
  • Why aren't domains like yahoo.com and google.com worth billions of dollars?
  • We are only assessing the value of the domain, not the website. People visit google.com to take advantage of their search engine, not because of the name "google.com." If google.com were to relocate to a different domain, the majority of their users would visit that new domain.
  • Why are there no domains worth more than $20 million? That doesn't seem like much.
  • The record for the most expensive sale of a domain was recorded at $9 million for business.com. Domains like search.com, business.com and news.com are very valuable, but not as valuable as you might be led to believe.
  • How can I add my website to the excel list?
  • As soon as you run a query on a domain, it is permenantly tracked by us. Provided the domain has an iScore above five, you will see it in the excel spreadsheet the next time we update the list (about once a week).
